According to an analysis by the market analytics firm "Alinea Analytics" and many reports across multiple gaming and industry outlets, PlayStation Studios' PC releases have generated roughly $1.5 billion in gross revenue on Steam. Alinea’s analysis emphasizes that earlier PC ports such as - Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, Days Gone, and Spider-Man among others, delivered the largest early returns, while certain live-service or multiplayer hits (most notably Helldivers 2) have been major volume drivers. The headline numbers are an estimate as Alinea derived them from sales-tracking and public metrics rather than being figures officially released by Sony or Valve. But still, several independent outlets have reported those same totals after reviewing Alinea’s breakdown. People should also know that the $1.5 billion figure represents the total paid by customers on Steam, while the ~$1.2 billion figure represents Sony’s estimated net after platform fees. If taken together, the data show that PC releases are more than promotional stops; they are meaningful revenue streams that justify continued investment in PC porting and optimization.
Details on PlayStation Studios’ Earnings and Growth:-
If we look through Alinea Analytics, it estimates that PlayStation Studios sold roughly 43 million copies on Steam which reported to be $1.5 billion gross, but official numbers have not confirmed by Sony. Valve’s revenue share (which is roughly 30% on earlier brackets) is estimated to have taken about $350 million, leaving Sony with an estimated $1.2 billion net. Top contributors to this growth include many titles such as - Helldivers 2 (a breakout PC hit that led unit sales), Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War (2018), Days Gone, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. The growth pattern clearly shows that the biggest returns came from the initial wave of ports of those that were highly anticipated and had pent-up PC demand, while more recent ports and sequels sometimes underperformed relative to their console predecessors.

Even after Alina's analysis and multiple outlet reports, the exact figures have not confirmed by Sony until now. I personally think that even after earning this much revenue, it doesn’t guarantee equal returns for every future port, because success of every gaming company depends on timing, the title’s appeal to PC audiences, and ongoing platform economics. If company like Sony follows or creates epic strategies based on essential situations, they can move up to the next level in future.
